It is not a waterproofing system and not a flood-proof claim: do not leave standing water along joints and edges, and remove free water promptly. For daily cleaning, a well-wrung mop is exactly what it is built for.

Yes. Every CARETTA model is compatible with underfloor heating and stays dimensionally stable across the normal temperature range. Keep the surface temperature within the limit given in the technical documentation and warm the system up gradually.

In many cases, no. Because the floor floats and clicks together, it can be laid over a sound, level existing floor — including tile — as long as the surface is clean, flat within tolerance, and the grout lines are not deep enough to show through. A thin levelling layer solves an uneven base.
