CARETTA is an architectural flooring authority. We design for endurance — material honesty, natural variation, graceful ageing — and we are precise about what the material is.
What we are, exactly.
In plain terms: this is an engineered wood-look floor, not solid timber. SPC stands for stone-polymer composite — a dense, rigid core. Over that core sit a high-definition printed décor layer that carries the wood look, a clear protective wear layer that takes the daily traffic, and a four-sided micro-bevel that gives each plank its edge, all in a matte finish.
ESPC is the same build with an enhanced core and a built-in acoustic backing, so it feels quieter and a little warmer underfoot.
We are honest about all of this. We never present it as solid artisanal hardwood, and our “declared joints” are that real micro-bevel — not faux timber joinery.
