SPC stands for stone-polymer composite. ESPC is the same construction with an enhanced core and an integrated acoustic backing, for a quieter and warmer step. Both are dimensionally stable and made for real interior use — an honest engineered surface, not solid timber. CARETTA planks are supplied at 228 × 1830 mm (Navigation SPC) or 230 × 1830 mm (Deep Sea ESPC), 7 mm overall, with a 0.55 mm wear layer.

It is water-resistant for everyday use — spills, damp mopping and the normal water of a lived-in home are no problem, and the rigid core does not swell the way a wood-based floor would. It is not a waterproofing system and not a flood-proof claim: standing water along joints and edges should not be left to sit, so remove free water promptly rather than letting large volumes stand. For daily cleaning a well-wrung mop and the usual routine are exactly what it is built for.
