Terms of use.

What this site is, what it is not, and how to read the colour and the technical figures on it.

1. What this site is

This site presents our flooring collection and the information around it. It does not sell. No prices are published, nothing can be ordered here, and no payment is taken. Sending an enquiry is a request for a quotation — it is not an order and does not create a contract. A contract arises only from a written quotation or order confirmation signed by both sides.

2. Colour, images, and how a floor actually looks

This matters more here than anything else on the page, so it is stated plainly. Every model’s colour is measured from its physical sample with a calibrated instrument, and the measured value is published. That is the reference we work to.

A screen cannot reproduce it. Screen calibration, ambient light and the gamut of your device all change what you see, and no two screens agree. Beyond that, the material carries natural variation between production batches — that variation is intended, and it is part of what an honest floor looks like.

Renders, room images and any visualiser output on this site are illustrative. They show intent, atmosphere and scale. They are not a warranty of appearance and not a colour match.

The only binding colour reference is a physical sample of the specific batch, approved before ordering. We supply samples on request, and we recommend approving one before any order is placed.

3. Specifications and technical information

Technical information on this site is indicative and may change without notice as products develop. Where a figure comes from a test report, the standard, the laboratory, the report and its date, and the specimen tested are stated with it.

The binding specification is the one issued with the quotation or order confirmation for your specific batch — not the summary published here.

4. Not professional advice

Content on this site is general product information. It is not a design, structural, acoustic, fire-safety or slip-safety specification, and it is not advice for any particular project.

Performance in a real building depends on the substrate, the build-up, the installation, the surrounding construction and the use — none of which we control. Test values are laboratory results obtained under standardised conditions and do not predict in-situ performance.

Anyone specifying our product for a project must verify its suitability with their own qualified professionals, against the requirements of that project. We are glad to supply documentation to support that assessment; supplying it is not a substitute for it.

5. Intellectual property

All content on this site — photography, renders, drawings, text, model names, the structure of the collection, and the visualiser and its output — is owned by us or licensed to us, and is protected by the Copyright Law, 5768–2007.

You may view it and print it for your own use in evaluating our products. You may not copy, republish, distribute or make it available commercially; use it to train a machine-learning model; systematically extract or scrape it; or reverse-engineer, decompile or reuse the visualiser or its output for any other purpose.

Requests to use an image for a project or a publication: niv@carettasurfaces.com. We usually say yes.

6. Availability

We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we may change or withdraw any part of it at any time.

7. Links

Where the site links elsewhere, we do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content.

8. Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury, or for fraud or intentional or reckless conduct — such an exclusion would be void under section 5 of the Standard Contracts Law, and we do not attempt it.

Subject to that, and to the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss — including loss of profit, loss of business or project delay — arising from use of this site or from reliance on information published on it.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by Israeli law. The competent courts of Haifa shall have jurisdiction.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. Material changes will be noted on this page.
